Senior Data Quality Assurance Engineer
Base Location: Glasgow based (Hybrid – 2 days per week in office)

We are a team of 300+ technologists providing technology enablement services and solutions across the Tax and Legal business. This business has 2,500 tax & legal professionals covering multiple disciplines. We serve many thousands of clients and private individuals by providing a modern, market-leading suite of technology solutions that provide an efficient digital experience from routine to complex tax advice depending on client’s situation.
Tax is highlighted frequently as an industry where generative AI will have a significant impact on how services are provided. You will be working as a team at the forefront of navigating that change and redefining the way in which tax is determined in the UK and globally, making sure people and companies pay the right amount of tax with the minimum amount of effort.
The Engineering department is made up of Product Owners, Business Analysts, multi-disciplinary Engineering teams (approximately 160 Software, QA and Cloud Operations engineers) and IT Service delivery professionals working on a large portfolio of systems used to improve productivity and solve key business problems across Tax & Legal. We also build cutting edge web portals for clients to interact with KPMG, maximising collaboration and ensuring seamless delivery of information to our clients.
What will you be doing?
You will be working in a team of Software Engineers and Quality Assurance Engineers across a variety of projects for both our clients and our internal professionals. You will be continuously monitoring and guiding the junior testers to achieve the highest quality and QA standards. You will be responsible to deliver comprehensive quality assurance and testing for all product developments, enhancements and fixes for our software, which will include release and system testing with usage of automation. The purpose of the role is to ensure that the quality of our software is maintained at the highest possible levels, increasing the satisfaction of customers and reducing the number of issues using automated technologies..
What will you need to do it?
- Extensive experience in Data and Analytics testing using tools such as Alteryx, Azure Data Factory, or languages such as SQL and Python.
- Proficiency in participating in User Acceptance Testing (UAT), with experience in leading such initiatives.
- Exposure to advanced platforms and tools including Databricks, ADLS, Python, Azure SQL, Fabric, and PowerApps.
- Demonstrated ability in Data migration, Data Transformation and Validation testing using manual or automated tools, with a focus on ensuring data integrity and quality.
- Experience in PowerBI Dashboard and PowerApps testing, ensuring the accuracy of metrics and features through manual or automated methods.
- Proficiency in continuous integration and delivery, with experience using tools like GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps to maintain efficient test pipelines.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of effectively interacting with both internal team members and external stakeholders
Skills we’d love to see/Amazing Extras:
- Experience in creating test strategies for AI and machine learning components, including validation of AI models and communication agents using tools such as OpenAI.
- Experience in building automated test frameworks using tools like Selenium or Playwright and applying BDD methodologies with SpecFlow or Cucumber.
- Hands-on experience in API testing using both manual and automated approaches.
- Experience in performance testing using tools such as K6 or Apache JMeter.
