This role sits within KPMG Business Services (KBS), specifically in the Workforce Operations team. KBS is a cornerstone of our UK business, supporting our client-facing colleagues through a wide range of critical services. As a Senior Compliance Officer in the Right to Work team, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring the firm’s compliance with UK immigration legislation and Home Office requirements. You’ll be part of a collaborative, customer-focused team that underpins our people strategy and enables our colleagues to focus on delivering exceptional client service.

 

What will you be doing?

  • Reviewing and validating Right to Work checks for prospective and current employees.
  • Partnering with the Immigration team to support visa applications and ensure compliance.
  • Managing a high volume of queries related to Right to Work and internal visa processes.
  • Maintaining accurate HR records in line with GDPR and immigration legislation.
  • Building strong relationships with Recruitment, HR Business Partners, and other stakeholders.
  • Staying up to date with changes in legislation and internal policies.
  • Assessing risk and escalating complex cases appropriately.
  • Supporting the team in meeting and exceeding service level agreements (SLAs).

 

What will you need to do it?

  • Awareness of UK Right to Work legislation and employer responsibilities.
  • Experience in a compliance or regulatory role, ideally within a professional services environment.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Resilience and adaptability in a fast-paced, client-centric environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and HR systems such as SAP.
